Week 3 - Some restringing and a couple of projects

This week, I am going to try to do one or two projects that have been sitting to be completed for a while plus a couple of restringing projects.

Project 1 is a pink zebra and gold set. I got a strand of pink zebra beads at a bead show that looked so cool I had to get them! I've planned out the design but never got the piece completed - not sure if I am going to make a set of earrings or a bracelet too but definitely the necklace.

Project 2 is Marilyn Gardiner's Marching Cubes bracelet design. I bought some Miyuki Red AB cubes a long time ago specifically to do this project and finally got the rest of the beads at Christmas time.It uses Square Stitch. I've actually done the Tennis Bracelet shown down the page (another restringing job to do)

Restringing Project 1 is a Ruffled Loop Bracelet similar to the one I made my daughter at Christmas from Beadaddict. I started this but stopped when I was having trouble with the Nymo thread that comes with the kit. I've started using Fireline for my bead stitching - not as pretty but is much stronger and doesn't fray. I've seen that one company is now making coloured Fireline and may try that soon.

One of my early stitching projects is up for Restringing Project 2. Its a simple hematite and fuchsia right angle weave bracelet. When I strung it, I used regular old fishing line which of course broke. So this one is going to be strung on Fireline. I have matching earrings that are one of my favourites.

Now, off to find my camera to take some pictures!
